Neil Simon Center Director | East Market
Neil started his first foray into the field nearly 20 years ago as a veterinary assistant, helping at a small practice in New Jersey. His early experiences helping patients and clients set the stage for a career foundation based on the veterinary client experience. For the next 15 years, Neil built on this foundation, gaining experience in both small general practices and large emergency and specialty hospitals. Working as a veterinary technician, he focused on surgical and anesthesia nursing where he took an interest in orthopedic surgery. Neil continued his education at the University of Tennessee, taking the Canine Rehabilitation Certificate Program (CCRP) and working as a canine rehabilitation nurse helping post-surgical cases recover after surgery. His passion and interest in the human-animal bond led him to supervisory and management roles in veterinary client services. Neil joined Heart + Paw with interest in providing both pets and owners with a truly unparalleled client experience at the East Market location. When not in the hospital, Neil spends his time with his three girls, partner Trisha, two cats – Bean McStuffins and Birdie Von Mini-Mittens, and pitbull Zephyr – Wagger of Tails in New Jersey.
