Heart + Paw Celebrates National Pet Week 2021

National Pet Week is designated the first week of May each year.  The COVID-19 pandemic has provided us all the chance to really examine the role pets play in our lives.  It has highlighted the power of pets in society and emphasized the value of the human-animal bond.   In a year when we were all asked to socially distance ourselves from friends and family, our pets helped fill the tremendous voids created.  There are numerous stories of people who spent more time with their existing pet and are wondering how to navigate a change once we can return to a semblance of normal.  In addition, we have seen many people welcoming a new pet to their family for companionship. 

Heart + Paw was started with the firm belief that most pet parents see pets as an integral part of their family.  Our teams are dedicated to creating a health care experience that allows for this.  This week and always we want to show gratitude for the pets we can care for in our centers and hospitals.  We also want to recognize our pet parents who strive to do what is best for their pet and trust us with their care.  Please join us in celebrating your pet and this week, an extra treat or two, or better yet, a longer playtime with your pet is just what our doctors order.
