Heart + Paw Northern Liberties did not allow snow or February frigid winter temperatures to keep the Grand Opening from happening on Saturday, February 22nd. The Heart + Paw Northern Liberties team, led by Partner Doctor, Dr. Jonas Vaitkus, was well prepared for the day. With a table outside for walk by treats and information, a photographer to capture bundled up pet parents walking their dogs, and a virtual webinar planned for that afternoon, attendees had the opportunity to meet the team, take a tour of the space, win prizes, and the opportunity to ask questions during an exclusive Q&A session.

Heart + Paw Northern Liberties not only offers veterinary care, dog daycare, and grooming, they are the first Heart + Paw location to also care for exotic animals. Dr. Vaitkus’ experience in exotics allows pocket pets, reptiles and birds to also be seen. Finding exotic animal care in the Philadelphia area is hard to come by but the convenient location on Germantown Ave in Philadelphia makes it an accessible location even to those living just outside the city limits.

“Opening our center during a pandemic was a unique challenge that our team adapted to in order to pet parents in the Northern Liberties community,” said Center Director, Naimah Murphy. “We have had the opportunity to welcome many new pets into our Heart + Paw family and we look forward to the day we can safely allow everyone into our center.”

Heart + Paw Northern Liberties is open Monday – Friday from 8AM – 6PM and Saturday from 9AM – 4PM. They are located at 1230 Germantown Ave in Philadelphia in the Liberty Square apartments. Appointments for all services are now available and can be booked online or by calling.
