Apache Trail Animal Hospital Celebrates Official Reopening as Heart + Paw Apache Trail

Antioch, TN – Heart + Paw, a group of full-service veterinary practices reimagining petcare by offering low-stress, comprehensive veterinary care services including routine wellness, dental care, imaging, diagnostics, and surgery, celebrates the reopening of its Antioch center on March 15th.

Heart + Paw partnered with Dr. Karen Fox and Apache Trail Animal Hospital in 2021 and completed an extensive remodel in 2024. The newly renovated facility is designed to support everything our teams need to provide the best possible care and are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and leading-edge equipment in an inviting and modern space. Heart + Paw also introduced their Style service here, providing low-stress, high-quality pet grooming.

I saw firsthand how seamless the transition has been, and I can attest that the heart of Apache Trail is still very much present.”

The grand reopening celebration occurs Saturday, March 15th between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm with an official ribbon cutting, tours of the new facility, refreshments, as well as fun family-friendly activities for all clients, both two and four-legged!

Dr. Casey Wingo – Partner Veterinarian – Dr. Wingo was born and raised in Nolensville, TN and is excited to plant roots at Apache Trail. She prides herself on her ability to connect with people and understand their needs, which helps serve the ultimate goal of providing the best care for your pets.

Dr. Alex Steele – Veterinarian – Dr. Steele enjoys preventive care and helping clients understand how to best care for their pets. She is very excited to join the Apache Trail family and meet your human and animal family members!

Dr. Shawnna Melick – Veterinarian – Dr. Melick completed her DVM at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024 and moved to Nashville with her fiancé Dylan and her cat Juliet. Dr. Melick is looking forward to serving the pets and community at Apache Trail and forming life-long friendships.

Fallon Gower – Center Director – Fallon was born and raised in Nashville where she resides with her two children, her dog Whiskey, and her cat Pefferchomp. With deep roots in the Apache Trail family, joining in 2005, she truly loves helping animals receive the best care possible!
