Dr. Lucas DeFiores DVM | Bethlehem Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Lucas grew up in Hudson Valley, NY, where he spent time routinely caring for his family’s pets, giving riding lessons on the local horse farm, and helping on his friend’s dairy farm. His love of horses and their care drove him into veterinary medicine. After graduating in 2016 from Cornell University Veterinary School, Dr. Lucas worked as a production animal veterinarian in rural Pennsylvania and upstate New York. After several years of large animal work, Dr. Lucas hung up his coveralls to begin working with his wife in a small animal hospital, where his love and passion for companion animal surgery and preventative care developed. Having now moved into the Capital Region, he is very excited to begin working with his wife yet again while enjoying their 3 dogs, red-eared slider, and reef tank dedicated to their clown fish and corals. Outside of his pets, Dr. Lucas enjoys woodworking, snowboarding, any opportunity to get out on the water, and traveling to new places.
