Philadelphia, PA (Remote with travel)

Heart + Paw is seeking a dynamic Marketing Program Manager to drive new client acquisition and client engagement through strategic marketing programs. This role focuses on developing and implementing client outreach initiatives that strengthen our relationships with pet parents, attract new clients, and build community connections for our centers. If you are a creative, data-driven marketer with at least 5 years of experience in multi-site, service, or field marketing and a passion for pets, we want to hear from you!

This is a remote position; however, candidates must live within a 2-hour drive of the greater Philadelphia, PA area and be willing to travel as needed to our veterinary centers, as well as attend an in-person, monthly corporate headquarters meeting in Philadelphia.  The Marketing Program Manager reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

The Role

The Marketing Program Manager will design and execute innovative marketing strategies to acquire new clients and retain existing ones, helping to grow Heart + Paw’s presence and impact. This role involves crafting creative programs and events to enhance client loyalty, build brand awareness, and increase client visits across all service lines.  Success in this role will be driven by establishing collaborative, long-lasting relationships with center leaders, clients, and community and business partners to elevate Heart + Paw’s profile in local markets.

Responsibilities

  • Drive New Client Acquisition: Utilize data and insights to develop, implement, support, and measure growth programs that focus on driving new client acquisition while retaining existing clients
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with support center teams and functional leads to align marketing initiatives with Heart + Paw's growth goals
  • Community Engagement: Create partnerships with shelters, rescues, and community organizations to foster strong local relationships, increasing visibility and building goodwill in Heart + Paw’s communities
  • Marketing Campaigns: Lead the development and execution of marketing programs, goals and measurable campaigns that represent key moments for Heart + Paw, intended to educate and engage existing and potential clients, encouraging repeat visits and trial/use of services, and deepening relationships with clients
  • Local Community Outreach: Develop scalable community engagement strategies that can be tailored by individual centers, including support for participation in local events
  • Media Outreach: Lead local and regional media outreach program with the goal of capturing earned media for the Heart + Paw brand, establishing Heart + Paw as a authoritative industry expert
  • Awards and Recognition: Build a strategy and execute a plan to garner awards at the corporate and local center level, driving awareness and notoriety for Heart + Paw and team members as appropriate
  • Grand Openings: In conjunction with Vice President of Marketing, support in the creation and execution of grand-opening and reopening marketing plans including successful execution of opening events and celebrations
  • Rebranding of Centers: Assist with the coordination of rebranding and renovation of centers, including support for interior/exterior signage and design
  • Design and Distribution of Materials: Assist with the development and coordination of design and distribution of marketing materials, ads, collateral, and giveaways
  • Center Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with center leaders and be a trusted, collaborative marketing resource for center marketing initiatives and conduct venter visits as needed to accomplish objectives and foster relationships with center teams
  • Other duties as needed based on business objectives

Position Requirements

Core Competencies

  • You are a self-starter, creative rock star who is passionate about building a brand and loves animals (pet ownership not required)!
  • You have earned a college degree from an accredited 4-year university or college
  • You have a minimum 5 years of multi-site marketing, service marketing or field-marketing
  • You have been actively involved in high growth operations or start up experience (strongly preferred)
  • You possess experience marketing for multiple locations/stores/centers (strongly preferred)
  • You are resourceful and have a go-getter attitude
  • You are collaborative and are able to work with all levels of team members from local team member to executive level
  • You are adaptable and able to flex to meet company needs
  • You possess strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • You have a client-centric mindset + a desire to create something unforgettable for our pets and their parents
  • You are not an ad agency or freelancer. We are looking for a singular person to make this role their full-time career and work with our existing ad agency to elevate the experience

  Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This a full-time exempt position. The typical hours of work are Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.  However, due to the nature of the position, you will be expected to be available for center level events on the weekends as well. This position operates remotely as well as at our centers.  This position does require a valid driver’s license due to the nature of the position being 20-30% travel.
